First Post

This is the first post of Tags’ Bud Blog, I will be updating the blog with information about the Global Management Trainee Program at Anheuser-Busch InBev. The GMTP is a ten month long rotational program that involves experiences in departments throughout the company. I am currently in St. Louis for the beginning of the program and I will be traveling to Atlanta next month in order to become immersed in the commercial (selling beer) and supply (brewing beer) functions of the company.

Yesterday we traveled to Chicago to attend an innovation day hosted by one of the top consulting firms. We generated creative ideas, viewed new technologies and developed themes for the month-long innovation projects that each of the trainees will be completing. The projects are designed to introduce potential innovations to AB from the perspective of recent college graduates. We will be working in teams to put together presentations for senior management.

Next week is the GMTP Global Induction, Global Management Trainees from different countries will be flying in to St. Louis for a week of training programs and an introduction to the GMTP. I know that we will all be working concessions at Busch Stadium for the Cardinals game among other experiences. We will be working in groups composed of trainees from around the world to complete specific projects with a global focus.

This week in general we have been learning about the company and how we will be completing work on a daily basis. This afternoon we have another presentation about company processes and policies.

Friday is my roommate’s birthday so the entire class of trainees and possibly some senior managers will be going out to celebrate with a few Budweisers.
